Team to take part in fundraiser; firm is an event sponsor.
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.—Oct. 10, 2018—RPA Wealth Management reported today that its team members will participate in the 4th annual Climb for a Cure in Diamond Bar, Calif. In addition, the financial planning firm is a sponsor of the Oct. 27 fundraiser, which supports patients with incurable Stage IV metastatic breast cancer and their families.
This is the team’s first time taking part in the Climb for a Cure. Firm President Brent Pasqua said the fundraiser seemed an ideal way to help out.
“Our team has seen the devastating financial effects that severe diseases like cancer can have on entire families,” Pasqua said. “This is such a great way to help support them.”
In addition to Pasqua, financial advisors Matthew Theal, CFP®, and Joshua Winterswyk will take part.
RPA Wealth Management, a Rancho Cucamonga-based Registered Investment Advisory firm, is a sponsor of the fundraiser. The firm also provides pro bono support through hospitals and other care centers to families who are struggling with the financial impact of a serious medical illness or condition.
The Climb for a Cure website reports that the proceeds will be used to support patients with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer and their families, as well as research for a cure. The funds will be donated to Living Beyond Breast Cancer and METAvivor.
In 2017, Climb for a Cure raised $15,000. The goal for 2018 is $25,000.
MakeMoves.fit will hold the fundraiser at Summitridge Park, 1600 Grand Ave. in Diamond Bar. Check-in is scheduled from 7 to 8 a.m., with the opening ceremony starting at 8. For information, visit the Climb for a Cure website at climbforacure.net.
